SUPPORT SOAR (SAVE OCEANSIDE AGRICULTURAL RESOURCES) YES TO MEASURE Y!!
Oceanside residents are encouraged and welcomed to attend ACTION meetings to become informed of issues that ultimately affect all of us.
(IN 2012) ACTION led the defeat of Propositions E & F;
alongside OMHA and GSMOL and many many, volunteers. 3 Council members disregarded the community and put our seniors, veterans and widows in fear of losing their homes to an increase in rent space without limits!
ACTION BOARD MEMBERS ARE:
DANA CORSO, PRESIDENT
ERIN MORIN, VICE-PRESIDENT
(MORRO HILLS & SOUTH O)
JIM JENKINS, VICE-PRESIDENT
(RANCHO DEL ORO & HARBOR)
DIANE STRADER, VICE-PRESIDENT
VICTOR ROY, VICE-PRESIDENT
South Morro Hills is Oceanside's only Agricultural Land. For the past 35 years, zoning in this area consists of 2.5 acres per dwelling - Council Member Kern, Feller, & Lowery have completely disregarded City Staff, City Planning, The Planning Commission, ACTION (grassroots community organization in Oceanside) , Preserve Calavera, the community! By giving direction to move foward with an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to see the impacts of changing from agricultural to high density housing! This land is next to our river and is in a flood zone. KERN, FELLER AND lOWERY ARE UNDERMINING THE COMMUNITY AND WASTING OUR TAX DOLLARS ON PROJECTS THAT ARE IRRESPONSIBLE AND RECKLESS. SAY NO TO THE NORTH RIVER FARMS DEVELOPMENT IN OUR ONLY AGRICULTURAL AREA OF OCEANSIDE!
SOAR - SAVE OPEN AGRICULTURAL RESOURCES -
SOAR WILL PROTECT OUR OPEN SPACE, PARKS, BEACHES AND GOLF COURSES.
SOAR IS THE VOTER'S INITIATIVE -
LET'S THE VOTERS DECIDE IF OUR ONLY FARMING LAND SHOULD BE CEMENTED OVER ONLY TO BENEFIT THE DEVELOPER -Integral- (manchester) AND 3 COUNCILMEMBERS(Kern, Feller & Lowery)
SOAR will minimize sprawl, reduce greenhouse gases, reduce infrastructure costs & support Oceanside Agritourism.
